We’re looking for a Data Scientist to join our Client Platform Data Science team, where you’ll help make sure that Discord just works. You’ll partner with the teams that design, build, and support Discord - improving app performance, enhancing the user experience, and driving growth. Your work will span strategic analyses, experimentation, and dashboarding. Specifically, we’re looking for someone who can help us take Discord’s mobile and desktop reliability to the next level through better metrics, monitoring, and automation.

Key Technical Responsibilities
- check_circle Partner with teams throughout Discord through the full analytics lifecycle - from exploratory analyses to dashboards, reports, and A/B testing
- check_circle Define KPIs and diagnostic metrics that improve the user experience, and build dashboards to make them timely and actionable
- check_circle Build custom datasets to monitor novel product features and processes
- check_circle Share insights with technical and non-technical audiences, and iterate based on feedback
- check_circle Champion A/B testing best practices - helping teams design, analyze, and interpret experiments correctly
- check_circle Collaborate with data and engineering teams to design scalable and future-proof instrumentation and self-serve tooling
Prerequisites & Qualifications
- check 2+ years of hands-on analytics experience turning ambiguous business problems into clear, actionable insights
- check Experience designing, analyzing, and interpreting A/B tests at scale
- check Strong SQL skills and experience building clean, performant dashboards (Tableau, Looker, or similar)
- check Clear communication skills, with the ability to make complex findings easy to understand
- check Curiosity, a collaborative attitude, and a drive to solve hard problems
