Key Technical Responsibilities
- check_circle Delivering high-quality, high-impact projects that unlock new capabilities for game developers, including APIs, the Discord app, developer portal, realtime infrastructure, or C++ SDKs.
- check_circle Collaborating with other engineers on your team to write, review, and ship elegant and scalable code used by millions of people.
- check_circle Leading projects through the whole life cycle from gathering requirements, breaking down milestones, building, to shipping.
- check_circle Listening and working with game developer partners to understand their needs through partner meetings and DevRel team collaboration.
- check_circle Working with product managers, designers, and partner managers to cut through ambiguity and find the way forward.
- check_circle Maintaining performance and reliability standards for our features.
- check_circle Using attention to detail to continually raise the quality bar of the software we write.
Prerequisites & Qualifications
- check 5+ years professional experience as a software engineer.
- check Experience with some parts of our tech stack mainly Python and Typescript/React, but could include Elixir, Rust, or C++.
- check Experience building software that leverages large data based applications.
- check A strong sense for product and design with the ability to express opinions and collaborate closely with cross-functional peers.
- check A holistic approach to problem-solving from first principles.
- check Active use of AI coding tools to accelerate productivity.
