As an Account Executive for the Cross Border China team, you will play a pivotal role in our expansion, connecting with ambitious enterprises and mid-market companies to help them scale globally. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of high-level business strategy and deep technical innovation.
In this role, you will act as a consultant to C-suite executives, guiding them through complex sales cycles and demonstrating how Stripe’s infrastructure can transform their business models. You will be at the forefront of the Greater China market, leveraging your expertise to navigate the cross-border landscape while collaborating with our internal product and engineering teams to shape the future of our offerings.
Key Technical Responsibilities
- check_circle Own a named account list and develop account plans for winning and expanding business with mid-market and enterprise companies in the Greater China region
- check_circle Develop outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities
- check_circle Own the full sales cycle from lead to close for upper-middle-market and enterprise companies
- check_circle Develop relationships with executive stakeholders at new and existing clients
- check_circle Work with company leaders from multiple functions (e.g., Engineering, Product, and Finance) to lead complex product workshops and financial analyses
- check_circle Lead and contribute to team projects to develop and refine our sales process
- check_circle Engage with Product and Engineering teams to help drive product strategy
- check_circle Build a compelling partner strategy for your key accounts, engage with the channel team and lead the joint sales approach
Prerequisites & Qualifications
- check 5+ years of software sales experience selling to large users in the Greater China market, preferably at a technology company, with a track record of top performance
- check Ability to understand the Stripe API and build great relationships with highly technical customers
- check Ability to understand complex requirements and craft custom solutions
- check Strong problem-solving and quantitative capabilities including comfort with basic modeling
- check High professional fluency in Mandarin and English, as the role involves working with users within the Greater China region
- check Deep understanding of the China cross-border business landscape
- check Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment
- check Strong interest in technology
- check Prior experience at a growth-stage internet or software company (Preferred)
