About the Role
GitLab is the intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps, enabling organizations to increase developer productivity, improve operational efficiency, reduce security and compliance risk, and accelerate digital transformation. More than 50 million registered users and over 50% of the Fortune 100 trust GitLab to ship better, more secure software faster.
As an AI Transformation Owner, Product & Design, you will shape your function's AI strategy and build the solutions that deliver it. Functioning similarly to a product manager where your product is your organization's way of working, you will manage the full lifecycle—from understanding workflows and deciding where AI should reshape them, to prototyping solutions, configuring agents, and driving widespread adoption.
You will partner closely with an AI Engineer within the Enterprise AI team, combining your business context, process intelligence, and strategic prioritization with their technical depth and production-grade delivery.
Key Technical Responsibilities
- check_circle Own your function's AI strategy, aligned with your Executive Sponsor and business priorities, defining success metrics and tracking progress.

- check_circle Prioritize strategically against business outcomes and executive guidance, holding the line on priorities to ensure high-impact work.
- check_circle Reimagine workflows by collaborating with Enterprise AI to spot opportunities that fundamentally rethink how work gets done beyond simple automation.
- check_circle Drive adoption and change management by creating channels, rituals, feedback loops, shared spaces, office hours, and celebrating wins.
- check_circle Coordinate with Enterprise AI to leverage patterns, tools, and learnings from across the wider business.
- check_circle Build and bridge the Champion network within your function, recruiting volunteer contributors and running regular syncs and demos.
- check_circle Build AI agents using no-code and low-code platforms like Glean and Workato to move rapidly from idea to prototype.
- check_circle Author and iterate on skills files and configure MCP servers and tools, maintaining accountability for your function's fleet of agent performance and KPIs.
