Key Technical Responsibilities
- check_circle Lead, coach, and grow a specialized team of web platform engineers.
- check_circle Set the team’s technical vision and roadmap in partnership with Client Platforms and cross-functional product teams.
- check_circle Drive platform modernization efforts to help product teams adopt modern client architectures.
- check_circle Improve client stability, health metrics, browser compatibility, runtime frameworks, and critical dependency currency.
- check_circle Establish clear operating rhythms for planning, two-week sprints, risk management, and monthly stakeholder updates.
- check_circle Hire, onboard, and develop engineers while fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.
- check_circle Leverage AI to accelerate engineering workflows while maintaining strict oversight of code quality and reliability.
Prerequisites & Qualifications
- check 10+ years of engineering experience, including at least 2+ years in engineering management.
- check Strong technical depth in Node, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React.
- check Proven experience partnering with Senior/Staff engineers to build high-impact technical roadmaps.
- check Background in building platform or foundation capabilities that enhance product engineering productivity.
- check Demonstrated ability to align priorities across teams and navigate ambiguity.
- check Experience improving engineering quality, client reliability, and platform health.
- check Strong communication skills with the ability to build alignment across diverse stakeholders.
- check Proficiency in using AI to improve development speed and quality, with a practice of validating AI-assisted outputs.
