About the Role

The Brand Ad Formats team is currently seeking a skilled Frontend Engineer with a product-focused mindset to drive the development of ad formats that help advertisers maximize reach and brand impact.
In this role, you will focus on high-visibility, awareness-driven solutions that create memorable experiences for Reddit users. The team is actively building fully customizable interactive formats and AI-driven ads that incorporate User-Generated Content (UGC), with a major strategic push into Video Ads to turn Reddit into an industry leader and a 'must buy' for advertisers. You will engage in the full development cycle from design to deployment while building ad experiences and patterns for Reddit's web app that enhance performance and functionality.
Key Technical Responsibilities
- check_circle Build Ad experiences and create patterns for Reddit’s web app that enhance our ads’ performance and functionality.
- check_circle Collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams to innovate and implement sophisticated solutions for complex challenges.
- check_circle Engage in the full development cycle: design, develop, QA, experiment, analyze, and deploy.
Prerequisites & Qualifications
- check 3+ years of experience in Web Engineering
- check Proficient in Typescript and Javascript
- check A willingness to tackle the challenges of creating data-intensive, highly responsive, and fault-tolerant apps
- check Experience with automated testing best practices, code quality / design patterns, observability, etc.
- check Skilled at performing insightful code reviews, and receiving feedback themself
- check Experience leveraging GenAI tools to increase software engineering productivity
- check Excellent communication skills: able to collaborate with teams in a fully remote environment, and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences
- check Experience working on ad tech (Preferred)
- check Experience working on consumer facing sites with high production value at scale (Preferred)
